Protein Arrays Protein arrays are widely becoming the assay platform most chosen by researchers for quantitative determination of protein levels. This assay design increases throughput and preserves sample quantity. Protein arrays can be created by immobilizing target peptides, antibodies or complex mixtures in solution onto a variety of substrates. These substrates can include slides and microwell plates with specially treated surfaces to enhance protein binding. Antibody protein arrays can be composed of matched antibody pairs for sandwich-type assays or single antibody immobilization for the capture of directly-labeled samples. Our NovaRay imaging system accommodates both a slide-based and mutiwell microplate-based format to provide advanced flexibility in assay design for cell and molecular biologists with an interest in protein arrays. |
